Did you feel the earth moving under your feet?🌎

Did you know June 21, 2023 is the astronomical first day of summer in the Northern Hemisphere?

Sunset at the beach

Also known as summer solstice, today is when one of Earth’s poles has its maximum tilt toward the Sun. It happens twice yearly, once in each hemisphere. So today is the longest day of the year!

FUN FACT: Because of the angle of the sun, it takes longer for the sun to set below the horizon around the time of the solstice.

We hope you enjoy the long and romantic setting sun!
